Luxury Packaging Trends in the UAE for 2026
What luxury retailers, hotels and gifting brands are asking for this year in the Emirates.
We produce packaging for hundreds of UAE luxury brands, hotels and family offices. Here's what we're seeing this year in specifications, materials and finishing across the region.
Restraint over maximalism
Heavy gold-on-black is being tempered by softer palettes — champagne on ivory, warm bronze on stone. Full-coverage foil is giving way to selective foil emboss on quiet backgrounds.
Soft-touch and velvet everywhere
Soft-touch lamination has become the default premium finish. Velvet lamination is now common on the highest tier — a suede-like feel that reads as heirloom.
Uncoated colored stocks
Colorplan and Fedrigoni uncoated colored papers are appearing across luxury retail and hotel gifting. Colored-through stocks eliminate the need for full-coverage print and read as calmly confident.
Structural theatre
Magnetic book-style boxes with ribbon pulls, drawer boxes with fabric handles, telescoping boxes for perfume flights. The engineering of the open is now part of the brand.
Sustainability without shouting
FSC certification is table-stakes. The visible cues have moved beyond kraft-and-string; luxury clients want plastic-free, water-based and locally-made — but branded discreetly, not loudly.
Arabic typography as a design system
Custom Arabic wordmarks and calligraphy set alongside Latin type — not translated afterthoughts — are becoming a defining visual system for UAE-native luxury.
Coordinated suites, not individual items
Brands are ordering the bag, box, tissue, ribbon and card together rather than piece by piece. The gain: guaranteed color consistency and faster launches.
Limited editions on demand
Digital printing has made limited-edition variants (Ramadan, DSF, National Day, capsule collections) economically viable at 500-piece runs. Expect more of these.
